Float or Chinchilla?
 
We uniquely offer the choice of either Float (smooth finish) or Chinchilla (textured finish) surfaces on all of our glass protectors.
This is ultimately down to personal preference, but some factors that you may want to consider:
 
Light reflection. A smooth surface will reflect light, while a textured surface will diffuse it. So if the protector is going to be used in direct sunlight, a textured surface could be better for you.
 
Cutting Surface. If your glass protector is mainly going to be used as a cutting or chopping board then a chinchilla board is generally preferred.
 
Rolling Pastry. The cold smooth surface of our float glass worktop protectors is ideal for rolling out pastry.
